OUR Thanks To
home projects our friends who are we photo's children who going to school now
All the people who we want to thank.
It is almost impossible to personally thank everyone.
There are so many people and companies who have in one way or another helped so
far with our mission’s success.
Mama Şerife for what is now the water from the tap at Mariama.
Many thanks to the WOMEN FOR PEACE of the SNUFFELPAND from Ridderkerk/slikkerveer thank you very much for your donation of €2,500 for the skill centre. We have seen how hard you have to work to earn this amount. We will do the same thing in Gambia.
Fam B from NURIMPEX.NL, especially for all the beads and yarn where the 9th grade girls of the Upper Basic will become involved in decorating their own clothing in their crafts lessons. Also thank you very much for all the underwear that you provided from your store.
Our friend Muazzez who relieved us on the Arab school project in Penyem. This school collapsed during the rainy season 2009 and it doesn’t look good.
Muazzez is now in the process to raise funds for the school.
Thank you so much Muazzez, now we have our hands and heads free for the other projects. We are also pleased that you are going to Gambia next time.
Many thanks to Eleanor’s team from Elsevier Reed Amsterdam. www.elsevier.com
The amount you raised with the book fair will ensure that the construction of the skill centre will be finished ahead of schedule.
The truckload of small children's clothing that you collected will ensure that
our next visit to Penyem that there will be lots of well dressed children
walking around. We know that there was a huge amount of work on both of these
projects. So to all of you
A BIG THANK YOU.

panties to take with us.
Unfortunately, we can not show you more pictures due to the privacy of the
ladies.

You all have contributed to a large extent for the content of the container. Marie Jose, Jos, Mari, and Marianne from Aarle Rixtel, after placing an ad in their local newspaper collected more than 1 large trailer full with all kinds of handicraft material which were driven our way.
At the time not only was our shed full but also part of our home. Also to all people from Aarle Rixtel and the surrounding area, thank you very much for all your generous gifts.
Bennie Ahlers for the correct shipping all our bananas boxes full of stuff.

Wilma from Elburg for the sewing workshop and for the enormous amounts of cloth
material or what you like to call "your old stock".
The women and girls in Penyem are very happy with it.

and band.
This was also from the "old" inventory that we could pick up.
But old is new in the Gambia and in combination with the materials from Wilma
and sewing machines from Aarle Rixtel, the women and girls can create a lot of
beautiful things.
